MOWAA President & CEO Enid Borden and Host Jennifer Green Tackle America's Silent Scourge
ALEXANDRIA, VA (July 9, 2010) Enid Borden, the President & CEO of the Meals On Wheels Association of America (MOWAA), recently brought attention to the national problem of senior hunger on the radio airwaves of Atlanta. Borden was the invited guest on the Newstalk 1160 radio show called "Women on the Move" with host Jennifer Green. Green decided to take a break from talking about her usual themes surrounding the entrepreneurial pursuits of women to discuss America's homebound and hungry seniors.
"We want to give seniors behind closed doors the dignity they deserve," Borden explained. And who are these older Americans facing the threat of hunger? "They are you and me."
