History:

MOWAA has partnered with Dean Foods – the largest milk producer and distributor in the country – to create the “MOWAA’s Got Milk” program. As MOWAA’s milk partner, Dean Foods offers MOWAA Member programs milk and other dairy products they need at discounted prices. In addition to “MOWAA’s Got Milk,” Dean Foods was a major sponsor of the 2010 Annual MOWAA Conference and Vendor Expo.

Impact:

Discounted milk is having a direct, positive impact on homebound seniors in communities all over the country. Programs include milk and dairy in all meals to make sure seniors receive the calcium, protein and other nutrients needed to support good health. Every dollar Meals On Wheels programs save on purchasing milk can help them stretch their budget and expand their services.
