 March for Meals   March—March 31

From March 1 to March 31, Meals On Wheels programs nationwide gather together to celebrate March For Meals, a national campaign designed to raise awareness and encourage action on a local level.

 Mayors for Meals   March 21

Mayors For Meals is a component of March For Meals that utilizes the involvement of local mayors. Mayors and other local officials from across the United States deliver meals on the same day in March to show their support of their local senior nutrition program. Over 1,300 mayors participated in 2011.  In 2012, Mayors For Meals day will be on Wednesday, March 21.

 Meals for Moms   April 1—May 9

In 2010, MOWAA created Meals For Moms, which runs from April 1 to the Monday after Mother’s Day each year. Money raised from this campaign goes into MOWAA’s Meals for Moms Fund. The Fund will help Meals On Wheels programs across the U.S. feed homebound senior moms around Mother’s Day the following year.

 American Volunteer   June 15—August 1

In order to recognize our Meals On Wheels programs’ extraordinary volunteers, MOWAA created the American Volunteer contest. This contest, which runs from June 15 to August 1, honors these individuals and gives the American public an opportunity to vote online for their favorite volunteers.

 Annual Conference   August 28—30

MOWAA’s Annual Conference offers hundreds of MOWAA Members educational opportunities, dynamic speaker sessions and an excellent chance to network with other Meals On Wheels Members. MOWAA’s 2013 Annual Conference will be held at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers.

 Annual Holiday Campaign   November 1—December 31

MOWAA’s Annual Holiday campaign begins November 1 and ends December 31. This multi-channel campaign targets all MOWAA supporters and the majority of donor interaction and giving occurs during this time.
