ANNUAL CONFERENCE

August 31 – September 2, 2010 Atlanta, GA

BUILDING COMMUNITIES TO END SENIOR HUNGER

If we want to end senior hunger by 2020, we need to build communities and be united in our efforts. The 2010 MOWAA Conference is your opportunity to come together to build vibrant professional learning communities that complement what you already know about the challenges facing Senior Nutrition Programs and expand this knowledge as we share and learn in a professional setting.

Together we can succeed in ending senior hunger.

The Conference opens at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, August 31st and concludes with a Closing Reception on Thursday evening, September 2nd. Pre-Conference we will offer a course on Emergency Preparedness for Meals On Wheels Program Professionals, as well as a field trip to a local MOW program. See the full agenda at a glance.

Meet Our Dynamic Speakers

Sam Donaldson

A veteran broadcast journalist known for covering breaking news events, reporting on a wide range of topics and conducting scores of timely interviews with newsmakers, Sam Donaldson served two appointments as chief White House Correspondent during his 43-year tenure with ABC News, covering Presidents Carter, Reagan and Clinton. He co-anchored PrimeTime Live with Diane Sawyer until it merged with 20/20. He also co-anchored the ABC News Sunday morning broadcast This Week With Sam Donaldson & Cokie Roberts.
As host of The Sam Donaldson Show – Live in America, a daily news/talk radio program broadcast on ABC News Radio affiliates across the country, he tackled the day’s top stories and important issues – taking comments form newsmakers, engaging listener calls and, of course, inserting his unique experience and opinion.

Ambassador Tony Hall

Three times nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, Ambassador Tony P. Hall is a leading advocate for hunger relief programs. He served as the Democratic Congressional representative for Ohio’s 3rd district for 24 years until his nomination by President George W. Bush to serve as United States Ambassador to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in 2002. He served for three years and retired from official diplomatic service in April 2006. He currently serves as Managing Director of the Alliance to End Hunger, an organization that engages diverse institutions in building the public and political will to end hunger at home and abroad.

Join Executives of Leading Foundations in a Panel Discussion
