The donors can choose as many or as few charities as they wish, and by allowing workplace giving, employers send a message that they not only care about their employees, but the world around them as well. The CFC, or Combined Federal Campaign is a federally created program designed to promote and support workplace charitable donations and philanthropy through an employee focused program. The CFC allows all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all. Established in 1961, the CFC is the largest annual workplace charity campaign. There are over 300 CFC campaigns throughout the country which help to raise millions of dollars each year for participating charities. Pledges are made by federal, civilian, postal, and military donors during a campaign season that runs September 1 through December 15th. Donors can use the CFC to support eligible non-profit organizations of their choice.
